On your first visit a short consultation will be completed. This will check for any contraindications to a set of acrylic nails.

Can be used to disguise bitten nails so long as the nail bed is not exposed and there are no signs of infection
Can be adapted to any size or shape of natural nail
Effects last up to 2-3 months if regular infill treatments are provided

Disadvantages:

Weakens the natural nail
Infill treatments required every 2-3 weeks after initial application
The treatment products have a pungent smell which can be unpleasant for the client
Too 'heavy' for use on weak nails and could cause nail trauma
Are porous, therefore natural moisture can escape but moisture can penetrate the artificial nail causing a fungal infection
Acrylic nails may discolour with prolonged exposure to UV, turning a yellowy colour

It is advisable to take note of the following aftercare advice:

Return for maintenance treatments (infills)
Return if there is any discolouration under the artificial nail
Do not pick off the overlay
Do not use nails as tools
Massage 'Solar Oil' into the cuticle area every day
Do not file the surface of the nail
Use only acetone-free nail varnish remover
