To begin with, the main reason we are into Aromatherapy is because we are not into modern medicines. We don't like the idea of using manmade chemicals to help cure an illness unless it's absolutely necessary. This is why we will rather try essential oils or herbs first before resorting to antibiotics, ect...
Now days, people
fill themselves with so many different antibiotics and pills, that their immune systems don't have to work as hard as they are supposed to do and so over time it gets weak, then, because they have a weakened immune system, they go down with all sorts of minor illnesses, coughs and colds, ect... then they take more pills................... Never ending circle.
Also a parent's weakened immune system is passed onto their babies. No wonder so many children go down with colds and flu or suffer from other ailments.
We can see a possible future where humans (and some animals) will have to take pills to prevent illness because their immune systems will have become too weak.

Therefore we don't like to fill our own bodies with medicinal chemicals.
This also applies to other chemicals that are found on fruits and vegetables to prolong their shelf life or pesticides that have been sprayed onto a crop. Because of this, we also grow our own fruit and veg at home and keep chickens for their eggs.

Natural Aromas was established in 2002 by myself, Louise Jones and my partner Mike. Our company is currently based in the old market town of Corsham, Wiltshire.

Being a mother I wanted to work from home so I could have the flexibility to look after and support my children.

To begin with, I was trained by a qualified Aromatherapist (our old next door neighbour when we lived in Kent) who also runs his own Aromatherapy business. However, he couldn't give me the certificates I needed.
So, after moving to Wiltshire, I attended an Aromatherapy and Swedish massage course at college and then went on to train at home using home study courses. I am now a fully qualified Aromatherapist and am also qualified in Swedish massage. I have also done other college courses in beauty facials and manicures & pedicures.
I am currently doing more courses in other beauty aspects.

At present our therapies are available to local clients as I do them from home in our fully outfitted rooms. However in the future we hope to open an Aromatherapy shop with therapy rooms above.

The essential oils we use in Aromatherapy and in our products are sourced for their therapeutic value (see our purity statement) and wherever possible they are organically grown, naturally farmed or wild crafted. We strongly support conservation and bio-diversity.

Being a small family run business we do not have to restrict the quality of our essential oils by having to buy in huge quantities to satisfy market demand. It’s great to be able to pass this benefit on to all our customers. It has always been and always will be our policy to supply and promote TRUE Aromatherapy.

Being a fully qualified Aromatherapist, I can advise on the safe use of our products, as well as give advice on other Aromatherapy matters.

My partner Mike (also the company's secretary) spends a lot of time sourcing new products, designing bottle labels, adverts, posters etc... as well as modifying and keeping this web site up to date. All that, and still managing to run his own business also from home.
